Dopo Zoe Cassavetes e Lucrecia Martel a inaugurare The Women's Tales series, l'ultimo progetto artistico griffato Miu Miu, è la volta dell'italianissima Giada Colagrande: ex teenager iniziata alla videoarte da un folgorante incontro con l'opera di Bill Viola, e già autrice di Aprimi il Cuore (2002) e Before it Had a Name (2005).

Da sempre impegnata a ricreare ed esplorare la dimensione onirica attraverso le immagini, con The Woman Dress, Colagrande ha scelto di raccontare il mistero e

l'ambiguità femminile a fronte di una totale libertà narrativa: “They called me and told me about The Women's Tales project. There would be four women cinema directors and we'd be free to invent whatever story we wanted – the only conditions being we had to use the dresses from the latest collection somehow and that any collaborators we chose would have to be women too. So obviously I got excited! And I called Au Revoir Simone who did the music”.
